This conference offers a forum for discussion of some of the changes and opportunities that are being created for veterinarians, veterinary schools, animal health organisations and their information providers.

The afternoon workshops will provide hands on experience of new information providing products.

10:25 Welcome message from Christopher Pressler, Director of Research and Learning Resources at the University of Nottingham

10:30 Professor Gary England, Foundation Dean & Prof Comparative Veterinary Reproduction (University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science) will talk about setting up the new veterinary school and establishing veterinary research and teaching activities.

11:15 Dr.Vicky Robinson Chief Executive NC3Rs: will talk about the 3 R's – replacement, refinement and reduction - working to ensure the best possible standards in animal welfare and using literature searching to establish best practice.

13:45 Annual General Meeting

14:00 Product demonstrations and hands-on training

• Thompson ISI workshop. Hands on training

• Jackie Wickham from Intute: integrating Intute into your website or virtual learning environment.
